An interesting opening hole. Finding the fairway is vital if you are to have any chance of reaching the undulating green in two. Your drive has to be played between two large fairway bunkers, which guard the landing area. The second shot is demanding as anything off line will find deep greenside bunkers. The longer hitter may be tempted to risk going for the green in two but laying up and attacking the flag with a short iron may be the wise choice.
